Feedback by WLCI on The Finger Reader

MIT researchers have designed a new technology that enables blind and vision-impaired people to read any printed text without the use of Braille.

The "FingerReader" is a 3D-printed, ring-like device fitted with a small camera that scans and reads words out loud in real-time, as users follow text with their finger. It is a tool both for visually impaired people that require help with accessing printed text, as well as an aid for language translation.
